Without getting too heady, attempt to define “I”.
My challenge today is to try, for at least one hour, to not use the words “I, me, my, mine.” Just be aware of what it is like to do that.
I am distinct from what I am experiencing. I am not my feelings, or my thoughts, yet those are part of my experience. What you are noticing will pass. As long as you are watching, you are not getting lost in it. Remind yourself that you are watching it, observing it. Kinda like TV- it feels like you are really there and you might scream at the screen during the big game. Your heart rate might get elevated, and yet you are not the game, the TV. The TV is showing the game, the game is not really in your house, right? It feels real, though.
Are you consciousness?
Who were you before you were conceived or born? Where were you?
So these questions are what got me reading The Untethered Soul again.
Great book- challenging, compelling, well-written and the explanations are easy to follow.
Tell me what you think.
