He has a choice of how to respond.
- Does he roll over and move into compliance? Does he get really quiet and avoid her and shut down? If he does this first option, he loses respect for himself. She loses respect for him and he sees her as controlling. If he shuts down, without telling her he is going into his cave to process, it looks like he is avoiding or sulking.
- Does he yell at her, bully her and make her feel as badly as he feels? If his neocortex shut down, he at least has his reptile brain to rely on for a response. Reptiles are aggressive at times.
- Does he stand up to her and say that he does not like what just happened? Just face it head on and have a presence.
